PT Elnusa?s subsidiary PT Elnusa Bangkanai Energy, in partnership with Sun Oil and Medco Energi, will start to build Bangkanai combined cycle power plant with a capacity of 100 megawatts in early 2007.

PT Elnusa Bangkanai Energy?s director Dixie Bastian said in Jakarta Tuesday that the power plant expected to start production in 2008 will supply its output to East, Central and South Kalimantan areas.

Elnusa Bangkanai Energy is expected to sign a gas sharing contract on the sale of gas to Medco by the end of this year.

When the contract signed, Elnusa Bangkanai will supply around 20 million cubic feet per day in 2008 to MedcoPower, an independent power producer under the same umbrella of Medco. (godang)
