Elnusa to carry out seismic acquisition in Kuala Kurun PSC mid-December

IDX-listed oil and gas services company PT Elnusa Tbk stated that it is ready to conduct a 750-km 2D seismic acquisition in Kuala Kurun block, Central Kalimantan, which is operated by ConocoPhillips Indonesia, in mid-December.

"We already won the tender for the Kuala Kurun project, but there is still a limited license from the forestry ministry. We are ready in mid-December to carry out the seismic survey in Kuala Kurun,? Director of Operation at Elnusa Bambang Kardono, told Petromindo.com on Monday.

Early November, ConocoPhillips appointed Elnusa to carry out the 2D seismic survey in the block.

The Kuala Kurun PSC was awarded to a consortium of ConocoPhillips and Malaysian firm Petronas Carigali in May 2015. ConocoPhillips through led light bulbs for home its subsidiary ConocoPhillips Kalimantan Exploration Ltd. owns a 60 percent interest in the block, and the rest is held by Petronas (E&P) Overseas Ventures Sdn. Bhd.
