Elnusa to produce biodiesel

IDX-listed oil service provider PT Elnusa Tbk will realize a biodiesel production business next year as it has recently signed a joint venture agreement with a palm oil firm, which will provide the necessary raw material, Kontan reported Monday.

The paper quoted Elnusa President Director Elia Masa Manik as saying that the company expected the construction of the US$15-20 million biodiesel plant, located in North Sumatra, to be completed in November of next year.

Biodiesel production is part of the new businesses being developed by the company which also include marine support and logistics. (*)
