Elnusa wins $18m contract to build well testing barges for Total

Oil field and drilling services provider PT Elnusa through its subsidiary PT EWS Oilfield Services has won US$ 18 million worth of contract to build several well testing barges for France-based oil and gas firm Total E&P Indonesie, Republika reported on Friday.
Under the contract, EWS Oilfield Service has to complete the construction of the well testing barges in five years.
EWS Oilfield Service’s president director Islam Kamaruddin Djafar said Thursday that two well testing barges barges worth $8 million will start construction soon in Banten, West Java. The construction of the two barges, to be called Elnusa Samudra 3 (Elsa-3) and Elsa-4, would take between eight and 10 months. (*)
