EMI to develop 100 MW hydro power plant in Aceh Jaya

PT Energy Management Indonesia (EMI) plans to develop a 100 MW hydro power plant in Krueng Teunom, Aceh Jaya Regency, Aceh Province.
EMI President Director Aris Yunanto was quoted by acehterkini.com as saying Thursday that construction was expected to start in 2016.
He was speaking before Aceh Jaya Regent Azhar Abdurrahman following the signing of a MoU with the local administration.
?We have conducted a survey. There?s a water debit of about 100 cubic meters per second in Krueng Teunom, which allows for the development of a hydro power plant with capacity of 100 MW,? Ari said, adding that EMI will also develop a dam facility. No further details were provided.(*)
