EMP appoints Ernst & Young to study merger

Publicly listed oil and gas firm PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk said Wednesday it had appointed PT Ernst & Young Advisory Services as independent appraiser to conduct initial study on the plans to merger with publicly listed mining firm PT Bumi Resources Tbk.
?The independent appraiser started its work on Feb. 7. The study is still on going,? EMP said in a statement to the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
Bumi also has reportedly appointed an independent appraiser. (Robert)
