EMP Bentu Limited has launched a prequalification process for a long term engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for gas flowlines at its Bentu working area in Riau, the company said on Monday.
EMP Bentu is a unit of PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (IDX: ENRG)
The tender covers the design, procurement, construction and installation of flowlines for 25 gas wells, including the supply of key materials and regulatory certifications. The contract is expected to run for 1,460 calendar days, or about four years.
The company said it is seeking Indonesian contractors or consortia with a minimum 60 percent local content requirement, reflecting government efforts to boost domestic participation in upstream oil and gas projects.

The project will be carried out in the Bentu block, one of Indonesia’s significant onshore gas producing areas located in Riau province. The block produces gas primarily from unconventional and tight gas reservoirs and supplies domestic markets, including industrial users and power generation in Sumatra. The field has been developed with multiple wells and supporting pipeline infrastructure to deliver gas to nearby demand centers.
The tender requires bidders to have prior experience in onshore pipeline or flowline EPCI projects, including installation of carbon steel pipelines with a minimum diameter of six inches and total length of at least 20 kilometers.
Companies must also demonstrate strong financial capacity and safety performance, including certification for high risk health, safety and environmental management systems.
Interested bidders must submit prequalification documents by March 27, 2026, the company said.
