EMP gets new CEO

The shareholders general meeting of JSX-listed oil and gas company PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (EMP) held in Jakarta on Thursday decided to replace CEO Christopher Newton with Christian Pontoh.
Pontoh was General Manager of Kangean PSC.
Director Yuli Soedargo retains his position and Imam Agustino, General Manager of Lapindo Brantas was promoted to become new director.
Board of Commissioners remains unchanged.
EMP operates several PSC blocks in Indonesia, including Brantas PSC which drilling works had spewed hot mud flow that inundated a large part of East Java's Sidoarjo township. The company's subsidiaries also operate Kangean PSC offshore East Java, Malacca Strait PSC in Central Sumatra and several other blocks in Sumatra. (godang)
