IDX-listed oil and gas company, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (EMP) said on Wednesday that its Semberah TAC in East Kalimantan has increased oil production to over 1,500 barrels of oil per day (bopd).
?Semberah TAC is able to raise oil production as three of its development wells showed positive results,? Investor Relation Herwin W. Hidayat told Petromindo.com on Wednesday.
In addition to oil, Semberah TAC produces gas at the rate of 11 million cubic feet per day, which is channeled to state electricity firm PLN?s Tanjung Batu power plant in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, he said.
The firm signed a gas sales and purchase contract with PLN in 2005, under which PLN will get total gas supplies of 62 BCF through 2015.
EMP through its subsidiaries controls 100 percent stake in Semberah TAC. (denny)
