EMP increases gas production from C. Sumatra block

Korinci initiated its first commercial gas production to PLN Pekanbaru, Riau with volume of 7 million cubic feet per day in June 2007. In addition to PLN, Korinci produced over 3 million cubic feet per day to PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (?RAPP?) starting in December 2007.
As per February 12, 2008, Korinci significantly increased its total gas production to over 20 million cubic feet per day. Almost 14 million cubic feet gas per day is sold to PLN and the remaining 7 million cubic feet gas per day is consumed by RAPP, the company said.
Currently, the gas supplied to PLN is sourced from the Baru Field?s 4 wells (Baru 5, Baru 6, Baru 4, and Barn 2 wells), while the gas sold to RAPP is produced from the Korinci field?s 1 well (Korinci 1A well).
EMP through its subsidiaries controls 99.99% stake in Korinci Baru PSC. The block currently has 72 billion cubic free gas of 2P Reserves. (denny)
