EMP obtains extension of Bentu block contract

IDX-listed upstream company PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (EMP) said the government has extended its current contract over the Bentu block in Riau Province for another 20 years.

?The Bentu block contract will expire in 2021. We have obtained the Bentu block contract extension for 20 years from the government in September,? said EMP President Director Imam Agustino on Wednesday.

He said that with the contract extension, the company will continue to carry out new developments in the Bentu block, where EMP holds 100 percent interest.
