EMP's H1 oil, gas production up

IDX-listed oil and gas company, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (EMP) reported a 19 percent increase in oil, gas production to 29,100 barrel of oil equivalent per day (boepd) for the first semester of 2009 compared to the same period of last year.
The total 29,100 boepd output includes about 13,800 bpd of oil and 92 BBTU per day of gas, EMP?s VP Capital Markets Herwin Hidayat said on Monday.
?The largest contributor is the Kangean block, which produces 3,000-4,000 bpd of oil dan 40 mmscfd of gas,? he said.
EMP has interest in several producing oil, gas blocks in Sumatra and Java including Gelam TAC, Gebang PSC, Malacca Straits PSC in Sumatra and Kangean PSC offshore East Java. (bernard)
