EMP?s Kalila pipeline resumes operation

Kalila (Bentu) Ltd., a unit of Indonesia-listed oil, gas firm PT Energi Mega Persada (EMP), has resumed operation after completing repair works on the pipeline, that was damaged by an excavator, oil and gas upstream sector BPMIGAS said on Monday.

The pipeline that chancels 7 MMSCFD of gas to the Batam branch of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) was hit by an excavator on Friday.

"Initially, the repair works were expected to take seven days. But, yesterday (Sunday), we managed to install a jacket on the pipeline. Gas supply to PLN BAtam has turned normal," BPMIGAS' spokesperson Elan Biantoro told Petromindo.com (godang)
