EMP to carry out 2D-land seismic survey on Sepanjang Island

EMP Kangean Limited, the operator of Kangean PSC, plans to carry out a 107 line km 2D-land seismic survey on Sepanjang Island off Flores Sea next month, aacording to company's tender announcement released recently.
EMP is targeted to bring Sepanjang?s oil into production this year. The field?s production, which is the first oil production from Kangean block, is expected to reach 2,612 barrels per day by end of the year.
The development of Sepanjang field, which is categorized as marginal field, is supported by the government as part of its effort to increase national oil production.
