EMP to drill three wells in Gebang block next year

IDX-listed upstream company PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (EMP) plans to drill three wells in Gebang block, North Sumatra Province, next year.

?We will develop the Gebang block by drilling one appraisal well and two delineation wells around the end of next year," President Director of EMP Imam Agustino said in Jakarta on Thursday.

Imam said, in the first phase the company will develop the Secanggang area, with the potential of additional gas production of 40 mmscfd. In addition, another area namely Anggor will also provide an additional production of 20 mmscfd, if it is developed.

EMP owns 100 percent interest in the block.
