EMP to get additional gas production from Bentu block next year

IDX-listed PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (EMP) said that it would receive additional gas production of approximately 60 mmscfd from the Bentu block in Riau starting 2017.
"In Bentu block, we will conduct a new development where there is currently tender process of production facility. We will also carry out drilling activities so that production will increase by 60 mmscfd starting next year," said President Director of EMP, Imam Agustino, in Jakarta, on Monday.
Imam said his company will drill two or three wells early next year.
"Currently we are negotiating with several potential buyers of the expected additional gas output, and one of them is Pertamina RU (refinery unit) Dumai," he said.
During the first semester of 2016, Bentu PSC block produced an average of 48 mmscfd.
