Energi Dian Kemala prepares engineering of FSRU in Banten

PT Energi Dian Kemala has started preparing engineering works for the company?s floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Banten, according to a senior official of the firm.

"We have yet to make the FID (final investment decision), but we have started preparation of engineering and others. Indeed, we have received an allocation of two LNG cargoes from Bontang plant this year," the company?s Director Joe Bunyamin told Petromindo.com, without providing details about the offtakers of the gas.

Joe projected that delivery of two cargoes to the FSRU to happen in 2017.

Previously, he said that the planned FSRU is designed with a total capacity of 1.5 million tons per annum (mtpa). Global engineering and construction firm Foster Wheeler has been appointed as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project, he said.
