Energi Mega Persada says Sumatra ops unaffected by earthquake

JSX-listed oil firm PT.Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (EMP) Said on Monday its operations in Sumatra is unaffected by earthquake that hit the western part of Sumatra Sunday morning.

?Operations is running normally,? EMP director Tom Soulsby told Petromindo.Com.

EMP has 60.49 percent working interest in Malacca Strait PSC, which is located in central Sumatra. The block currently produces some 10,000 barrels of oil per day. (alex)
