Energi Wijaya to start C. Kalimantan coal production in 2012

Central Kalimantan coal miner PT Energi Wijaya Tama plans to start commercial production from its mine in Tamiang Layang district, East Barito regency in mid 2012, the company?s director told Petromindo.Com.
The company?s director Henry V. Parengkuan said that the mine will start produce with initial production of 30,000 tonnes per month and ramp-up to 100,000 tonnes per month in a year later.
?At the present, we are in construction stage,? he said.
The mine is an IUP holder with calorific value of 5,300-5,100 kcal/kg (ADB) in coverage area of 8,000 hectares, Henry said.
The company is now also negotiating with some potential buyers, he said without giving further details. (dennny)
