Energy security fund requires budget of up to Rp 260t

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said stated at a Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Leadership Forum in Bandung over the weekend that the funds will be among others use to finance the development of infrastructure facilities, subsidy, and the development of renewable energy sources.
He said that the 2016 state budget, which is set to be revised mid this year, is expected to help finance the the funding requirement for the energy security fund program.
Sudirman said that other funding sources include loans and grants from international donors.
He said that the ministry will receive whatever amount of funds to be allocated by the revised state budget, and stressed that the government would not collect funds from the public amid the current economic slowdown. (*)
