PGN through its 60 percent subsidiary Transgasindo is constructing pipeline from Grissik to Singapore, which will start to flow gas in September this year. The 470-kilometer gas grid linking Grissik in South Sumatra, Sakernan, Batam and Singapore will have a capacity to transmit 350 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). The project requires investment of $477 million, while the gas will be supplied by South Sumatra gas producers such as ConocoPhillips and PetroChina.
According to Energy Solutions, the pipeline gas management system will enable PGN to communicate and operate within new business rules as defined in the gas transportation agreements. In addition, all shippers involved in the transportation of gas through the system will be in real-time communication with, and operating fully within, these same parameters. (robert)
