Enero obtains second bioethanol export contract

PT Energi Agro Nusantara (Enero) has won a contract to export 12,000 kilo liters (KL) of bioethanol to Singapore.

This is the second export contract bagged by the subsidiary of state-owned plantation firm PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX. The company has previously won a contract to export 4,000 KL to the Philippines.

Enero President Director Agus Budi Hartono said that the first shipment to Singapore was scheduled to take place in September.

Speaking following an agreement signing ceremony with PT Bumi Makmur Bersatu, the local representative of Singapore?s Vermogen Oil Pte Ltd, Budi said the shipment volume can increase by 4,000 KL if needed.

Enero has a production capacity of 30,000 KL per year. It has a permit to export a total of 20,000 KL this year. (*)
