Eni, BP to start appraisal program at CBM block in 2010

Italian oil firm Eni SpA reported that recent preliminary study showed resource potential of 111 billion cubic meters of CBM gas at its Sanga Sanga CBM PSC block in East Kalimantan.
According to Santos? Conversion Calculator 111 billion cubic meters is equal to 4 TCF.
The Company said in a quarterly report released on Friday that the resource potential will be verified through an appraisal program that will commence in 2010.
Eni has 37.8 percent stake in the block, which was awarded on November 2009.
Eni and its partner BP Plc have been producing conventional gas from the block for over 40 years. (alex)
