ENI Bulungan BV, the subsidiary of Italian firm ENI Spa, has postponed its drilling plan for Hitam-1 well in Bulungan block from this month until the first quarter of next year, according to an official at upstream authority SKK Migas.

Arief Fanzuri, Survey and Drilling Division at SKK Migas, told Petromindo that the delay decision was taken due to unavailability of rig.

The Bulungan block is located in the Tarakan Basin, Offshore East Kalimantan and covers an area of 4,048 sq km.

ENI is the operator of the Bulungan block with an 80 percent interest, while the remainder is held by Overseas Petroleum and Investment Corp.
