Italian oil, gas firm Eni SpA may pipe gas from its Krueng Mane block in Aceh to Arun NGL to help boosting production from the aging plant, a BPMIGAS official said.

BPMIGAS Deputy Chairman in charge of Marketing Djoko Harsono told reporters on Tuesday that Eni is currently in talks with Indonesian unit of US oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. to use its pipe facility to send the gas to Arun plant.

?It?s currently being discussed and studied,? he said.

Currently, the entire gas supply for Arun NGL comes from Exxon Mobil-operated gas fields.

Krueng Mane exploration block, which was signed in September 1999, is located approximately 50 km north of the Arun LNG plant. ENI has currently 100 percent interest in the block.

Krueng Mane block has proven undeveloped reserves of 183 billion cubic feet within the JAU Field and exploration potential of at least 4.5 trillion cubic feet reserves in the three main prospects (BSN, Safir & Emerald). (alex)
