Italian oil and gas firm Eni SpA plans to carry out 3D seismic re-survey in West Timor I PSC onshore/offshore East Nusa Tenggara this year, according to an industry source.
?Currently Eni is reading the result of gravmag (gravity and magnetic) survey,? the source told Petromindo.com.
The 2D and 3D seismic activities were initially conducted in 2012-2013 by PT Saripari Geosains, according to the source.
"However, the results cannot be read, then Eni will do a re-survey and will re-tender the project of the 3D seismic activity," the source said.
Last year, Eni took over US oil and gas firm Hess Corp.?s 49 percent interest in West Timor PSC, and therefore cancelled an earlier relinquishment plan. Eni now holds a 100 percent interest in the block, which was awarded on May 7, 2008.
