Eni starts West Timor seismic acquisition

Italian oil, gas firm Eni SpA has commenced 2,725 km2 3D seismic acquisition at the offshore part of West Timor exploration block in East Nusa Tenggara on August 22, 2010, according to BPMIGAS website.
According to the website, the seismic acquisition will take 26 days to complete.
Earlier in June Eni has started 1,350 km 2D seismic at the onshore part of the block.
The West Timor Block is located in onshore and offshore the south-west region of Timor Island and encompasses some 4,075 square km, of which 2,725 square km offhsore and 1,350 square km onshore. Eni has 100 percent interest in the block, that was awarded in 2008. (alex)
