Eni to submit plan to develop deepwater oil field Oct: BPMIGAS

Italian oil firm Eni SpA is currently preparing plans of development for its Aster oil field in Bukat PSC offshore East Kalimantan with a view of submitting it to the Government for approval this year, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said.

Deputy Chairman Achmad Luthfi said that Eni is scheduled to submit the PoD on the deepwater oilfield in October.

Eni has earlier made oil discoveries in Tulip and Aster wells. Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo said in April 2009 that the block might be able to produce 30,000-40,000 BPD when developed. (bernard)
