Private power company PT Energi Nusantara Merah Putih (ENMP) plans to hold LNG supply tender next year to secure fuel for its proposed 600 MW combined-cycle power plant (PLTGU) project in South Sulawesi Province.
ENMP President Director Westana Wiraatmadja told Petromindo.com on Tuesday the company is looking for LNG supply from either domestic or overseas producers. ?We?ll prioritize domestic producers. The required volume is 0.5-0.6 mtpa,? he said, but did not provide further details.
As has been previously reported, ENMP signed in February of this year MoU with China?s Sinland Development Pte Ltd to develop the PLTGU project, to be located at the Bantaeng Industrial Park, which will be integrated with a floating storage and regasification unit to be developed by ENMP?s subsidiary PT Pasifik Agra Energi. The estimated US$980 million PLTGU project is targeted to be completed in 2021.
In August, ENMP signed heads of agreement with eight industrial tenants of the Bantaeng Industrial Park for future power supply to the latter companies.
