The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works of a gas processing facility (GPF) at the unitization project of Jambaran and Tiung Biru fields in Central Java is targeted to commence in April of next year, according to a top official of PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC), the operator of the project.
?We target the EPC to be commenced in April of next year and it will be done in 36 months at the earliest,? PEPC?s President Director Adriansyah told Petromindo.com.
He explained that the front end engineering design (FEED) of the project has been completed and the prequalification tender for the EPC contract of the GPF was opened on Monday, May 25, 2015.
The company estimated earlier that the project will come onstream in the end of 2018 or in the first quarter of 2019 at the latest.
Tiung Biru field is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the giant Cepu oil and gas block jointly operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) and Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC). The Jambaran gas field is located within the Cepu block, which is operated by EMCL, a unit of ExxonMobil Indonesia. EMCL and Pertamina EP agreed in September 2012 to unitize both fields.
