PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), which will develop a 350km pipeline network from Arun in Aceh to Belawan in North Sumatra, expects to announce the winner of the project?s EPC tender, before the end of April.
?The EPC tender is nearing completion. God willing, we?ll decide the winner within two weeks. The procurement of compressor meanwhile has reached the evaluation of the bidders? proposal. The winner will also be announced in April,? President Director Gunung Sardjono told petromindo.com on Tuesday.
While refusing to disclose names, Gunung said that there are only 2 vendors left vying for the EPC project, and up to 5 in the compressor bidding.
The pipeline will link the Arun gas facilities, which will be transformed into a gas receiving terminal, and Belawan in North Sumatra. The gas will mainly be supplied to the power plant owned by PLN in the seaport town of Belawan.
PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) has been selected the winner of the tender of the Arun EPC revitalization contract.
The Arun receiving terminal is planned to have a capacity of 400 mmscfd, which will be channeled to fertilizer industries, power plants, and other industries in Aceh and North Sumatera.
