EPC works at Banyu Urip 93% completed

The progress of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) works at Banyu Urip project in the Cepu block have currently reached 93 percent, according to a top official of PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC).
"The EPC 1 to 5 works have now reached 93 percent. The works that have reached 100 percent completion include the EPC 2, 3, and 4," PEPC's President Director Amril Thaib Mandailing told Petromindo.com.
He explained that the 73km-onshore pipeline and the 23km-offshore pipeline are currently filled with oil that partially came from the Gagak Rimang FSO.
"Thus, we will be lifting the oil in this March or April,? he said.
The development of the Banyu Urip project is divided into five work packages, namely:
1. EPC-1 for Production Facilities Processing
2. EPC-2 for the EPC Onshore Pipeline Facilities (72km)
3. EPC-3 for the EPC Offshore Pipeline Facilities (23km) and Mooring Tower
4. EPC-4 for FSO (Floating Storage and Offloading)
5. EPC-5 for Infrastructure Facilities
The Banyu Urip Cepu block project in the border areas of Central Java and East Java is one of the prime oil and gas projects expected to come onstream this year. The block is jointly operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd (EMCL) and PT Pertamina EP Cepu.
