Ephindo, GE in power plant development deal

CBM developer Energi Pasir Hitam Indonesia (Ephindo) and US giant GE has signed a memorandum of understanding to build small-scale gas-fired power plant IPP in East Kalimantan, tapping the CBM production potential at Sangatta 1 CBM block.
Ephindo President Sammy Hamzah told Petromindo.com that the MoU called for development of 10-15 MW of power plant with initial capacity of 1.5-2 MW, using GE?s reciprocating gas engine.
Sammy said during the pilot project stage, there will be four engines palced at four wells in the block.
He did not give further detail. (godang)
