PT Surya Esa Perkasa (ESSA) is currently developing a 30 MW gas-fired power plant (PLTG) at an ammonia plant being developed by subsidiary PT Panca Amara Utama in Banggai District, Central Sulawesi Province.

ESSA Technical Director Mukes Agrawal told petromindo.com on Wednesday the power plant will support the operation of the ammonia plant. The PLTG will start operation at the same time with the operation date of the ammonia plant, which is slated to begin commissioning process in November of this year.

He said that gas supply for the power plant will come from the Senoro block in Central Sulawesi, but did not disclose the supply volume.

The ammonia plant will also get gas supply from the Senoro block at a volume of 55 mmscfd under a contract valid until December 2027.
