Essar Power to bid for more power projects in Indonesia

Indian company Essar Power is planning to bid for three power projects in Indonesia, company sources was quoted by Indian daily Business Standard on Thursday.
The three projects for which the company is bidding include a 500 mw gas-based power plant, and two 1,000 mw coal-based power plants.
Essar has lost its first bid for the 600 mw Cerebon power plant in West Java last month to the consortium led by Japan?s Marubeni. Sources said that the award is being granted to the consortium on the basis of a 3 cent price differential.(*)
