The company did not say when construction of the plant is expected to start.
The company said LNG processing facilities would permit monetization of spare gas which would be delivered to customers in Indonesia and other markets in Asia,? the company said in its Annual Financial Report filed Monday.
?A further expansion of the LNG facilities as the foreseen market for LNG demand develops,? the company said.
The company added that an assessment from prospects and leads of the potential hydrocarbon resources in the Sengkang PSC indicated potential reserves range of between 5-7 TCF. ?If the resources are proven, they will be sufficient to produce 5-7MTPA of LNG per year for 20 years.?
Sengkang block has remaining proven and probable gas reserves of 415 BCF. Of these reserves, 152 BCF is committed to power station, leaving the excess capacity to be utilize to the proposed mini-LNG plant.
EWC, which currently holds 47.5 percent interest in Sengkang PSC is in the process of acquiring another 47.5 percent from US energy firm El Paso Corp. (alex)
