EWC plans to double S. Sulawesi LNG plant capacity

The company said the plant will be located in South Sulawesi city of Pare Pare, with facility initially comprised of one 500,000 tpa plant, with second plant to follow almost immediately.
?Local and regional parties off take had been identified and negotiations are advanced,? said the company in a report. It added that it would take 24 months to build the plant.
The company said both LNG plants would cost around US$150 million to build.
?Indonesian permit for LNG production granted in principle by authorities,? the company said.
The company, however, did not give specific detail about the plan?s time frame.
EWC has 100 percent working interest in Sengkang PSC. The block currently has 542BCF of proven and probable gas from three fields with 160 BCF committed to nearby Sengkang 135-MW gas-fired power plant, which is 95 percent owned by EWC.
The company claimed that the block has potential resource of 5-7 TCF.(alex)
