EWC plans to further expand S. Sulawesi power plant capacity

Australian Stock Exchange-listed firm Energy World Corporation (EWC) is planning to further expand capacity of its gas-fired Sengkang power plant in South Sulawesi.
The company said in a recent release that talks with state electricity firm PLN is ongoing and the company intended to expand Sengkang power plant capacity from 135 MW currently to 315MW.
The company has been cleared to add capacity by 60MW with production is expected to commence by October 2008.
Gas requirement from the power plant is supplied from Sengkang block, where EWC has 100 percent interest. (alex)
