Export recommendation letter for Newmont issued

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) finally issued on Friday a recommendation letter for PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (NNT) to obtain export license from the Ministry of Trade (MoT).
Director General of Mineral and Coal at MEMR, R. Sukhyar said that NNT has been given an export quota of 304,515 wet metric tons for the next six months period ending February.
"We have sent the recommendation letter this morning," Sukhyar said.
Director General of International Trade at MoT Partogi Pangaribuan said the ministry would issue the export license for NNT later on Friday once his office receives the recommendation letter.
The export license would allow NNT to resume export of copper concentrates which has been suspended since January 12 of this after the government introduced tougher export requirements.
