The Ministry of Trade (MoT) said that the export reference price (HPE) of certain mineral concentrates for the period of December are mostly down compared to the HPE in November due to the lingering weak price of the commodities in the international market.
The MoT determines the HPE for certain mineral concentrates, whose export have been subject to export duty, including copper, zinc, lead, iron, manganese, ilmenite and titanium concentrates.
The MoT said in a statement that the HPE of the mineral concentrates for the period of December were mostly down compared to HPE for November. HPE of copper concentrate (Cu ≥ 15%) with average price of US$1,789.31 per wet metric ton declined by 0.69 percent. HPE of iron ore concentrates (hematite, magnetite, pyrite (Fe ≥ 62%)) with average price of $71.29/WMT fell by 3.40 percent; HPE of iron ore concentrates goethite/laterite (FFe ≥ 51% and Al2O3 + SiO3 ≥ 10%), with average price of $21.87/WMT down by 2.17 percent; HPE of lead (Pb ≥ 57%) with average price of $833.13/WMT fell 2.37 percent; and HPE of zinc (Zn ≥ 52%) with average price of $567.47/WMT was down 0.77 percent.
Meanwhile, the HPEs of manganese (Mn ≥ 49%), ilmenite and other titanium concentrates remain unchanged.
