Exspan participating in geothermal tender by PGE

PT Exspan Petrogras Intranusa, a subsidiary of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk specializing in oil services, participates in the tender of rig procurement for Lahendong geothermal field owned by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energi (PGE) in North Sulawesi.

The company said on Thursday that it offers a rig having a capacity of 1,500 horse power. ?We participate in a follow-up tender by PGE. We?re offering a rig of 1,500 HP for the geothermal in Lahendong,? PT Exspan Petrogras Internusa President Director Aditya Mandala told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Thursday.

Aditya said that currently his company has a total of 15 rigs, consisting of 2 big rigs at capacity of 2,000 HP and the rig of 1,500 HP. ?The big rigs will be used in Medco EP Lagan deep in August, while the rig of 1500 HP is participating in the follow-up tender by PGE for Lahendong geothermal field in North Sulawesi,? he said.

"There are 13 work-over rigs which are currently on use in the field of Pertamina EP, Medco CBM, and Medco EP in Kalimantan and Sumatra. And there are 10 units of logging truck for wireline logging with Pertamina EP, and Medco EP," he added.

Aditya pointed out that the contracts of work-over with PT Medco E&P are agreed until the end of 2013 and 2014. ?Averagely, each contract would last more than one year,? he said.
