Exxon Mobil analyzing deepwater well results

US oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp said it was currently analyzing the result of Sultan-1 wildcat deepwater well in Mandar PSC in Makassar Straits.
The company said in Earnings Call Transcript released Thursday that the West Aquarius rig has completed operations on the well and is now operating on its deepwater well in the Philippines.

BPMIGAS Exploration Division Head Anditya MT Ibrahim told Petromindo.Com on Septmebr 29, 2009 that tests are currently underway at Sultan, but thus far, gas discovered was considered inadequate to be considered as commercial discovery.
Earlier, Exxon had drilled dry hole at Rangkong well in Surumana PSC which is adjacent to Mandar PSC.
EMOI has 80 percent interest in both blocks with Malaysian firm Petronas holding the balance.(denny)
