Exxon to acquire E. Java exploration block seismic data

US oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. will start seismic acquisition on its newly acquired Gunting PSC in East Java in the fourth quarter of 2009.
The company?s Indonesian unit revealed in a tender announcement released Wednesday that the company will acquire 400-900 km of 2D land seismic data, complimented with an up-hole program.
Exxon has 100 percent interest in the block, which was granted through regular bidding round in November 2008. (alex)
