ExxonMobil delays Aceh's Pase field gas re-operation

US oil giant ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia had delayed lifting resumption of Pase gas field in North Aceh due to logistic difficulties that slowing down repair works, according to a Pertamina official.

?EMOI is actually scheduled to resume gas operations in Pase field sometimes this week, but due to heavy rain, EMOI has rescheduled it to mid-January next year,? Siddick Nitikusumah, Pertamina?s senior spokesperson told. Petromindo.com Friday.

Pase, which is located in a remote ara, is the last gas field that still stopped production since EMOI shut down its Aceh gas operations in March this year due to worsening security condition.

According to Siddick, prior to the shutdown, Pase produced between 200 to 300 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. (godang)
