ExxonMobil to begin seismic shoot in deepwater block

US oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. will undertake 2-D seismic shoot at its Surumana deepwater exploration block in Makassar Strait this year.
ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia External Relation VP Maman Budiman told petromindo.Com Wednesday that the 3,300-km seismic shoot would commence mid-year.
Maman said ExxonMobil had 3-well drilling commitment in the block. He did not reveal the investment ExxonMobil would spend to drill the block.
Maman said in last year interview that drilling on the block would commence in 2009.
ExxonMobil was awarded Surumana block in September 2006. (godang)
