ExxonMobil to resume full operation soon: Official

ExxonMobil Indonesia is ready to resume full gas operation in Aceh soon, according to a company official.

ExxonMobil public relations official Deva Rachman told the local Serambi Indonesia daily that the company expected the security condition in the area to remain favorable, and expected the people to help maintain the security.

Separately, company vice president for operation and production Alex Dodds said during a gathering with local informal leaders and religious leaders Tuesday Exxon was expected to be able to resume full operation immediately.

ExxonMobil Indoneia, a unit of U.S. oil and gas giant ExxonMobil Corp., halted its gas operation in the restive Aceh province in March due to security concern in the area. The company resumed a partial operation in July.(*)
