ExxonMobil uses locally-built rig for Banyu Urip

The Banyu Urip project at Cepu block marks another milestone in its development with Mobil Cepu Ltd., the operator of the block, contracting two rigs locally built for the project.
The rigs, owned by Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) in joint consortium with Atlantic Oilfield Services (AOS), are nationally-built and constructed in Batam by Citra Tubindo Engineering (CTE), Erwin Maryoto, spokesperson for ExxonMobil Indonesia said in a statement sent to Petromindo.com on Tuesday.
The rigs will be used to drill 42 wells in three well pads and will help the progress of Banyu Urip Project, according to Erwin.
