ExxonMobil waiting for POD approval

ExxonMobil Indonesia is waiting for the approval of plan of development (POD) of its Tiung Biru-Jambaran field in Cepu Block from interim upstream authority SK MIGAS.

"Yes it?s true that we?re waiting for the approval of our POD for the unification of Jambaran-Tiung Biru fields. We hope that before the end of this year we?ll get the approval from SK MIGAS,? the company?s Senior Vice President for Exploration and External Relations, Asep Sulaiman, told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Friday.

He said that Exxon in Cepu Block has planned to finalize the development of oil facility for Banyu Urip oil field, and also to develop a gas field.

Separately, SK MIGAS Planning Deputy Widyawan Prawiraatmadja confirmed that his institution is currently in a process of licensing a number of PODs, including that of ExxonMobil.

"We?re working on several PODs. One of them is for Tiung Biru-Jambaran fields unification. Hopefully, we?ll make a decision next week,? Widyawan told Petromindo.com, but he did not give any further details.
