Coal trading company PT Farlin Energy, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Farlin Group, stated that it has opened a new stockpile in India.
Eric Ng, Indonesia Country Manager of Farlin Energy, told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that by following the opening of the new stockpile, the company is now targeting to increase its export volume to the country in the fourth quarter of the year.
Eric said the company has sent a total of 11 coal shipments to India with a total volume of about 800,000 tons in the third quarter of 2013. "We have to increase our volume in the fourth quarter as we have opened a new stockpile at India," he said, without providing figures.
Previously Eric said the company targeted to double its coal export from Indonesia this year from about 2 million tons last year. The company exported about 2 million tons in the first half year.
"We expect to export about 4-5million tons this year," he said adding that most of its coal cargoes go to India.
Eric added that the coal is "half from Sumatra half from Kalimantan" he said, adding the firm initially targeted to export 6 million tons of coal this year.
