Federal secures $210m coal, iron, manganese supply contract

Singapore Exchange-listed engineering and procurement firm Federal International (2000) Ltd announced Friday its unit Alton International Resources Pte Ltd (AIR) has secured contract worth US$210 million with a Chinese company to supply coal, iron ore and manganese ore.
Under the deal AIR will supply coal, iron ore and manganese ore over twelve to twenty four shipments.
This contract awarded to AIR is subject to the latter?s fulfilment of the customer?s certain terms and conditions, including the successful completion of trial shipment and ability to obtain the supply sources, the company said.
The Federal Group had expanded into coal mining business in Indonesia in early 2008.(alex)
